Looking to buy a new SUV this spring.  Man, Lexus is very proud of The LX570. Probably will go with a Sequoia instead.

jfc, how many kids do you have? like, more than a million?

2 kids. But the little SUVs don't pull my boat very well.

Had a 1994 Grand Cherokee in college and it towed boats as well as my current Nissan Titan.

I love the new ones too.  you should get one of those.

Side note.  I really like the new little Fiats.  I drive a lot(should be in all caps for emphasis, but I refuse to do that) for work and would love to get one of those little guys but fear that I wouldn't fit in one comfy.  Anyone been in one?

They have enough power, not enough weight.  28ft pontoon is heavier than you think.

Unless I can get a really great deal on an Expedition, I will probably get the Sequoia.

Pulled the trigger on the Sequoia this weekend.  Just waiting on them to install the DVD players in the headrests. Should be ready by Tuesday.

I don't think they even had one at the dealership. I don't want anything that big.

Yes, they are hard to come by.  I thought it might of been on you list if you were considering the LX570.

Is the LX570 not the same size as the Sequoia?

The LX570 and the Land Cruiser are pretty much the same while the Sequoia is based on the Tundra truck chassis and all of them including the Sequoia have the same engine/transmission combo.

One thing the that makes the Sequoia superior to the other two SUVs is it has a 2 speed transfer case with 4 low while the other two are full time 4wd but not low range.

Narrowed it down to a gmc acadia, or a ford explorer, any thoughts?

both are fine cars. I would go with the explorer because I like the way they look better. also there's an ecoboost version and it gets like 30 mpg. I'm also a big fan of new fords so there's that too.

mrs. raquetcat wants the explorer solely for the reason that you can get one with keyless entry and push button start. We have that on our Altima and it starts to suck driving cars where you actually have to use a key.

yeah, and wait until you use the easyfuel capless fuel door. you'll never believe how inconvenient it seems to screw off a gas cap after you get used to the easyfuel thing.

That would seal the deal for me. Explorer, hands down.
