Like I told Trim on Twitter yesterday, I (me, myself) haven't spoken with anyone about this position. Of course it's nice when your name comes up in searches like this; it means you're doing a good job. But I'm very happy where I am -- coordinating, #ArkansasPak, etc. Maybe someday there will be an opportunity to "come home," but is now that time? Like I said, I'm happy now.

Levi, you'd be foolish not to at least shoot a resume off to them.  FOOLISH.

Here comes the frustrated DJamer Wally tweet about how he can only get interviews about open jouno jobs if the leading applicants answer their phones.

I can pick you up and take you up there.  I don't know if I'll stay in MHK all the way through Tuesday though.

consider yourself lucky. the workload is going to be crazy after k-state beats oklahoma and the national media swoops in. speaking of which, i'm probably going to need a goEMAW correspondent to assist me, certainly on road games.*

I assume this will be a "working interview." Which American Legion game will you be covering?

Joel would be a great hire for anyone. He's done a great job in his time there. Heck, you saw the MHS coverage before he took over! He's really turned that beat around. Again, I probably shouldn't be speaking on the position, because I don't know much about it (I haven't talked to anyone). BUT, I think Joel would be a nice fit.

Translation: Levi thinks he would have the advantage of getting hired in a heads-up situation against Jellison.

Nice try.

Where IS the Mercury office anyway?  Also, remind me to pick up the glossy prints of the fff article while we're there.

well, well, well... we have a new leading candidate and his name is joel "hambone" jellison. it looks like the goEMAW research team has just uncovered the fact that both hambone and current manhattan mercury sports editor joshua kinder attended the same highschool (dodge city) and both have a love of collecting sports memorabilia. as long as joel's love of movie watching does not become sort of wedge between the two, smart money is now on this 25 year old former conquistador. stayed tuned for more updates...
