Bad news aggiekats, the project has hit a snag as they did indeed spurt a gullywasher when they ran in to the water table.  Guess that below ground parking garage might be out.  Any ArchE's want to take a crack at guesstimating if that would affect the structural integrity of something that heavy?

Moat.  And then use that water proof spray stuff on the exterior walls.  Boom, solved.  Next issue?

moving parking garage is the only other solution. not really fast moving but like if you parked your car there for a weekend it would move like idk 100 feet or so. nothing too scary.

How much does it move in an average parking garage, like 20 or 30?

Pretty sweet, but I couldn't care less about that hotel as long as the street in front of it is a mess. Any update on that project?  :bang:

Oh, TownieCat.

If you ever had to wait thru 3 green lights at Bluemont/Manhattan/Anderson stoplight I'm sure you'd empathize with me. It's an absolute shitshow...

Or the first day that eastbound traffic on Anderson had to turn left onto Manhattan.

I find it a little interesting that the city has removed the project's press release from its website. It probably contains an estimated completion date that passed several weeks ago. http://www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/index.aspx?NID=304

can you leave a car parked overnight in aggieville?

No parking between 3am-9am in Aggieville because the City of Manhattan encourages you to drive your car home after hours of pak'ing in the Ville.  :dubious:

The nearest street to Manhattan & Bluemont that you could park on 24/7 without getting ticketed is the 1000 block of Moro. From 5pm Friday to 8am Monday you could park across the street in the campus lot.

If that hotel doesn't have enough guest parking then guests are screwed.
