they put up a fence around all the houses and apartments yesterday.  demo coming soon  :excited:
Yesterday....more like last week.

But seriously, those places are shitholes and need to be destroyed.

Trees have been removed. Waiting for houses to be demo'd.

Do we know what this thing is for sure going to look like yet?

Sounds like demolition of the houses is starting.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Demolition begins on a house at the corner of Bluemont Avenue and Manhattan Avenue Thursday morning. The area is being cleared because the corner is the future site of a new hotel.

Assume you are talking about the planters.  And yes, they will most likely be a complete pedestrian circulation nightmare.

That bulldozer thing in that picture is tearing off a room that has more than one bullet hole in the floor/wall of the closet.  Limestone and I had pledge brother who procured a handgun his jr/sr year and was too enthusiastic about it.

I picture it being ran by the average idiot bar owner in Aggieville.  I hope this won't be the case.

I like how they didn't even try to put the fence back up that blew over.

drove by it on saturday, the houses are demoed, bunch of earth was excavated and it looked like there were some steel beams in a vertical perimeter but i dont know if they were even tied to footings or anything (not familiar with big commercial construction at all, obviously).  didnt see any sort of concrete work done or anything.  basically a gigantic hole in the ground from what I could tell?

That's just shoring so that the bank doesnt cave in while they are working, nothing structural.   Normally with a hole this size, you slope the bank back a good 15+ feet, but they don't have room for it.

They were digging footings last week though, so walls should be coming soon.
