My top 5 encounters:

1. The very first PAK I attended. Where all the mods were like: "Holy eff! He's really real!"
2. 'Clams sniffing me out at the fallon. He literally had never seen a pic of me. He could just read my goofiness and knew it had to be me.
3. RD at the TCU game in Ft. Worth. "Hey buddy! Let's high five and burn one. I was sitting with a bunch of my friends that I came with, but I think i'll just stand with you the rest of the game and talk about our qhatz!"
4. Dobber in Austin. Very similar to the 'Clams story. He saw me at a bar just party rocking my ass off and he goes: "Fanning?" Me: "Yup! OMG, ARE YOU DOBS?!!!! "
5. The whole gang in phx. I mean, 8man, bubbles, 'tater, captain crap, and a similar experience to Johnny Witchita with dlew. He saw me walking the streets after the pep rally and he drove by going: "FANNING! CATS, MAN!"

Of course, there's been many others and they've all rocked!

Your little story reminded me of a strange conversation I had last month.  I was hitting some balls and my "bay host" (server) starts chatting me up.  He asks me if I watch Game of Thrones.  I tell him I haven't, but will get around to it eventually.  I ask him if he enjoys it, and he indicated that he hasn't/doesn't watch it... Hey buddy, why'd you bring it up, then?  Anywho...
