Saw a bunch of golf dudes outside the Hyatt on Market today. I don't like golf but would love to go. There was a big deal on the local news because they wouldn't let people take phones onto the course.

I played once at San Fran Golf Club not far from there. It looks like a great course. Should be a great tournament.

I keep reading scary stories about Olympic. Like that it's right up there with Oakmont as the hardest of all time.  :sdeek:

my sw ks rancher grandparents golfed there.  neither golfed at any point in their lives.  like, probably 5 rounds combined between the two of them and they played Olympic.

You play against other golfers, not a course.

Phil's fake with the fans and he's so dumb on the course. Hate watching him.

Tiger though...

so you're saying that he's really nice and friendly and jokes with the fans when he's around them but inside and in secret he's mean?  ok.

Voted least liked by his fellow pros because he's a bad person.

Well yeah, I don't either necessarily. But it just means he's fake.

I'm not like really huge anti-Phil, I just like Tiger a lot more.  :dunno:

I'm not sure where I fall on this pro/anti Phil/Tiger argument.  Can I love them both?  Judges?

Cool Story Bro Time:  I know several golf pros who work around the Southeast, one told me Phil liked/likes to bet big bucks playing "pick up" rounds (no shocker), but he got in a little deep playing a round at Augusta with some members who were really good, I doubt they were playing stright up, and Phil got cocky.  Phil tried to weasel out by handing over a high dollar watch and wad of cash.   The members took it to the Club Pro who told Lefty to pay the tab, or he wasn't going to let him play there outside of The Masters until he did.   Phil wrote out a check deep into the 6 figures.

Same group of guys claim Tigers "injuries" were timed to avoid PED testing periods.
