“They are nice people. I like their system. It just seems like we are going to enjoy playing for Coach oscar and his people.”
"oscar was a nice person and he deserved a chance. That’s why we decided to stay.”
“I think it will be a great system for me,” Rodriguez said. “That’s actually one of the reasons why I stayed. They are different type of coaches. Coach Frank was a little bit more aggressive. They both have great philosophies. They both have good things. But I think Coach oscar will be, I guess, more flexible at times and let us play a little bit more.”
Angel stayed. I know this and am eternally grateful. Nothing about a coach being nice, or players staying simply because he is nice, reassures me at all.
Nice will be nice for the tucks next year when the team is winning.
Nice will not be nice for the players under the bus, or the lack of winning that is coming.
Sorry... I got all excited when I saw this article that Angel would give some insights about oscar's offense and give me some kind of substantive reason for optimism. All I got was "I haven't been around him much, but he's nice... oh and he likes guards. That's cool"
