I thought someone on here said it was 2nd highest. CFB needs a life support with that trend.
The numbers ESPN released said second highest. Maybe not very trustworthy.
They're two different numbers, ESPN took the peak viewership number, this is the average. ESPN also likely counted The numbers on all the mega cast channels, this reflects the ESPN broadcast only. The average is used for final ratings.
Also college football ratings are just fine, not needing any life support or anything else. Yes, they numbers are physically smaller but viewership has changed, fewer viewers & ratings for everything you watch on television, especially cable TV. At the end of the year, this will be the highest rated show on cable television and it will end up in the overall top 20 and the highest rated non NFL broadcast.
The NFL and college football absolutely own television ratings.
