i'd rather do the gooch's laundry than fill out expense reports :curse:

I hate their guts (expense reports, not the gooch's who I love)

you flying to NY this week? awesome, Christoff is just going to need to know why you chose this flight v. this $22 less expensive option that fits within the same 2 hour window on the origination and arrival.

Hint: choose "Other".

upside: no expense policy defined as far as I can tell + I like the expense software/platform we use (pro tip, if your platform lets you email receipt photos, do that. the actual apps suck)
downside: been 3 weeks since my expenses were approved and still no payment

Had a party at the office last night tho :blank:

Ernst may send you an email asking why you are staying at the Andaz when they are no longer a Preferred Brand for us. You're going to want to select "Other" so he gets off your crap about it. Thanks.

My office is casual. I wear jeans almost every day. Shoes vary from Cole Haan to tennis shoes to boots to flip flops (the fancy ones with fake jewels on them).

In the summer I wear skirts and capri pants and sometimes city shorts.

One summer I had a broken ankle so I just wore cargo shorts to work that whole summer.

"city shorts", that is the kind of thing that takes up over a page of our dress code.

culottes = not business casual

That is a word my mom would use.

skort = not business casual

One time(not at my current job) I got in trouble because my skort was too short. So I went home and changed into a skirt that was shorter than the skort because the dress code had a required length for skorts but not skirts.

I had a cast and then a big walking boot. Both were difficult to find pants that would work with them.

I load the dishwasher (because she does it like a moron). She always unloads it. We both do our own laundry.

I just checked my employee handbook and there is no reference to dress code. This reminder was emailed in early February. I like that it's not overly specific.

Quote
[Company] Dress Code Policy:  It is the responsibility of the employee to be neat in appearance and to practice good hygiene at all times.

[Company] has adopted a casual dress code for work; however, there are times when all staff members are required to follow a business casual dress code. Staff will be given advance notice when business casual attire is required.

Please remember that casual dress in a place of business is not the same as casual dress in your personal life. There are many things that you would wear with your friends and at home that are not appropriate for a place of business.

[Company] reserves the right to amend the dress code policy at any time.

If there are any questions please let us know.

The end. That's it. That's as official as it gets.

I don't know if I've ever worked at a place that published a dress code. I would wear t-shirts at my current job, but I prefer long sleeves in Bay Area weather and I like the functionality of button downs - you can roll up the sleeves if you're too hot and I like to put my phone or tools in the front pocket. Or just take it off and show off the hanes 100% cotton v-neck undershirt

i think i've worn a hoodie, carhartts and tevas to work every day i've worked at the office at my current job.  also the same thing i've worn every day i haven't worked for about 20 years.

in the summers i have to take the hoodie off pretty early.   :cry:
