Went to The Majestic on Saturday night.  Great steak.  Fun experience as a whole.

Did you go downstairs for the jazz or upstairs and listen to Sean the bartender make fun of everybody's drink order?
We ate upstairs and listened to some tasteful, soft piano music.  Went downstairs after dinner to grab a drink and listen to the jazz for a few minutes.

Don Antonios had delicious tacos.  It's KCK out on State St but was an easy stop off for the SKC game

Kids wanted to to to Nguyen Pho and Grill when we were in town to watch the KSU Ladycats last weekend. Their noodles were great and I hope to return.

The wife and I hit KC Craft Ramen in OP for lunch. I’ve tried dinner and it always seemed absolutely packed. I did the Japanese curry which was good but my wife’s ramen was way better. Their broth was way different and better than most ramen’s I’ve had.

Bates City BBQ in Shawnee. What do we think? Do we like it?

Please only respond if you've tried it before.

I got it once and never went back. I don't remember it being bad but if I'm over "there" I'm usually Blind Box.

Had Meat Mitch when I was in KC last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the three meat+ribs plate I had.

It was good at KCI and I assume even better at the actual restaurant.

I'm friends with the owner of blind box.  I always enjoy it.

Their sunday brunch buffet is absolutely astonishing.

Blind Box has some of the best burnt ends I've ever had. And my pregnant wife has been craving Reubens so we've had a lot of them lately. They had one as a weekly feature, and it was the best we've had during these 8.75 months.

went to Hayward's on 75th for the first time a week ago, burnt ends were pretty good, as were the ribs.  In the old Kite's location.

Congrats on your soon-to-be-born child! I also love reubens. It's been too long.

To add onto this, their collab with Buck Tui people, Muni in River Market, is also really good. Also late kitchen for those who need that type of thing downtown.
