Ate at the Opera House Saturday morning. It was pretty awesome. Apparently they have the best burger in city market. Also, they're breakfast sandwich and potatoe sides were the bomb. Pretty hipsterish. seemed like MC's dream spot. Also, some hipsters were wearing those baggy stocking caps to look super "I don't care about anything, suck it mom and dad, Save the earth, and meh, don't care! Heh, look at me, I'm different.).

pretty sure it's the only burger in the city market.  maybe Harry's?   :dunno:

Went to Zocalo this past weekend and OH.MY.GOD they had a Mussels and Chorizo dish that knocked my balls into Brookside.

Chorizo is the best thing going in the food game right now.

just so we're clear here folks, Zocalo is rough ridin' garbage.  inedible at binge level 7.

this.

Nah. Blue line has some good burgers and there's some hole in the wall places around there. I mean it's not a large title, but it's pretty good.

@wackysquawk08

Had farmhouse for breakfast on Sunday with the GF....    Thanks for the pro-tip.

I don't care about how they source they food from "Local growers" I just care that it was DAM good. Forgot the name of what I ordered but it was 2 huge fancy schmancy biscuits/gravy and a fried egg piled on a large chunk of sausage.

They also serve their coffee in French presses...Like you order a large coffee and they bring you a full French press

yeah, doesn't get much better than their eggs benny + french press.  when I lived downtown, I used to go there more often.

That place is still open?  overall, river market is great.  article in the paper couple of weeks ago talking about its growth and sustainability as a neighborhood.  good news.

It's actually a lot safer and quiet than I had imagined before moving in. That new street car is going to start on my st. (Delaware) and run through the city. I wonder if it will be a little nosier in the future.

Are you saying like all chorizo is awful or just chorizo from a specific place you tried once?

Hickoks had a good burger...too bad that place went away.  I can't get down with the opera house concept...too much going on.

they're pretty different.  spanish chorizo is smoked and uses smoked pimenton.  the crap is great.  would live off of.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I know what you're talking about. That's why I stayed away for so long, until my neighbor started raving about it. It's pretty crazy on the inside, cause you don't know what the hell is going on, but the food was still good.

Any other hott chorizo spots in KC I don't know about?

Oh man those Chorizo sausages at Werner's in Mission  :surprised:
