I don't think anyone ever said Heaps wasn't a good get for you guys.  The rest of your transfers are 1-and-dones who couldn't get any playing time in 4 years at ND.  Those guys have proved they aren't good at this point.  Big difference in how much those guys will help your program in 10 months over the potential impact guys like Luc and Heaps have.  Different situations.

Also, you can't add McKay to the list of "good gets" for you guys either.  After Broyles, OU's receivers were not good and they were plugging in their 2nd and 3rd stringers in trying to find someone.  They thought so lowly of McKay he wasn't even an option to them.  If he didn't transfer he was likely getting his scholarship pulled anyway.  He was on the top of the list of 10 team cancers Stoops was talking about during Bowl week that weren't going to be back because they didn't deserve to be.

Is this transfer thing set in stone?  I like the idea of having high quality depth in our LB corp.

I don't like reading about every sorry sack of crap 24 year old that couldn't hack it at middling notre dame and had to transfer to football wasteland ku just to sniff the barka turf.

Since you were too lazy to look it up yourself... #1 inside linebacker recruit coming out of high school. Apparently dealt with some injuries, was a back up who played as a true freshmen and sophomore. Has two years of eligibility left. You'd be a fool not to want this kid.

There has been no indication as to where he's going. There's no reason to believe we're not still the favorite.

As Tomahawk Nation first reported, Jeff Luc will transfer from Florida State, the school confirmed today. Luc, a former four/five-star linebacker from Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Treasure Coast High School was a major recruit in the 2010 class.

But the recruiting accolades never turned into production on the field for the big hitting linebacker. Luc was often injured during his time in Tallahassee, and for a time had trouble picking up the defense.

Luc will look at Kansas State, Rutgers, Louisville and UCF. Alex Luc, Jeff's brother, denied reports that Jeff is a done deal to Kansas State. The Wildcats are a likely landing spot, however, as they stand to lose three senior linebackers after the season.

Luc is the second transfer of the day for the Seminoles, joining Darious Cummings, a sophomore defensive lineman who was similarly buried on the depth chart.

Neither players were trouble makers during their time in Tallahassee, and we wish them well.
