Why put any money into a program for these kinds of fans?

Quote
Boo-birds come out in full force following poor play, students are mostly disengaged, and the crowd has a tendency to leave the game well before the clock hits all zeros. Also, noise levels and fan passion in general "" even in the Mangino-era "" were hampered by a track that surrounds the playing surface and keeps fans far away from the action.

BSFS does look nice and i'm sure it'll be pretty badass when completed. I agree with everyone, Memorial in lawrence needs a big revamp and it's getting there, Weis even said the other day that he has seien some of the plans. The really only good thing about it is the location, it's on campus and has a damn nice view. Rumors are the estimated cost of the Memorial upgrades is going to be around $150 million. So i'm expecting quite a bit of things to be done and should be pretty nice when completed.

Every pic KU fans use to brag about their stadium is a view pointing away from the field with very little of the facilities in it.

You really need some new talking points.

Football's method for deciding "national scale" is significantly different from basketball.    ku had one fluke season and then immediately plummeted back to reality as the worst football program in the Big 12 and you guys are going to cling to that for all its worth because that's all the rare ku football fan has, 2 good seasons in the last 45, 2007 and 1995.

I still think a pretty kick-ass putt-putt course could be built over the track for additional fan amenities during gamedays.  Might keep the butts in the seats a bit longer.  A great family environment.

No.

Same shape, additional seats, nice pressbox. I think that's a worthy goal.

They could always tear down and build this though too...

i would love for KU to build a new stadium but i just dont think it will happen. Memorial is a war memorial and there isn't really anywhere to build a new stadium except where the current one sits

Be that as it may, it would be extremely expensive and will probably lead to the stadium being closed for at least a year

Havs, Memorial Stadium is going to have a second press box on the East side.  They'll also probably lower the field so that they can bring the seats in closer to the action.

Why play in Arrowhead when BSFS is available on Friday nights?

Each side could start a press box arms race.  The original will construct another press box upon itself.  :comeatme:
