Your stadium is a hole in the ground with a grandstand on one side and a stone-clad cruise ship on the other.  The only thing that makes it good is the screaming of the purple masses, and that's not a bad thing.  You guys have done the most with the least, so you should be proud.

you use the "hole in the ground" thing a lot on phog.net too.  do you really believe that's a bad thing or is it just a talking point?  be aware, how you answer this question says a lot about you.

I assume you are using the universal "you" in this context.  For acoustic purposes, no I don't believe it's a bad thing.  For construction/engineering purposes, no it's not a bad thing - cheaper and easier to build.  For aesthetics and general impressions, though?  I've seen a lot of high school and small-time college stadia utilize that method.  Some people may conflate the "hole in the ground"ness of it with high school and small-time college stadia.  It certainly diminishes the visual impact from without.

Which is more confusing with small time and high school stadia, our "hole", or your track?

real crap tho.. if they really have the go-ahead to do anything close to what they're saying, they have a great opportunity to make a decent little, intimate, completely wrapped around stadium (which anyone can do with an almost complete rebuild I guess, Stanford, UofW, etc)  But they're so obsessed with that shitty looking hill, they're going to put a ton of money into this thing and it's still going to look so small-timey.. we're going to  so hard at it

Dunno, but could you imagine the combination of the two?  :barf:

Also, on today's edition of "As Memorial Turns," a poster claiming inside info on one of our sites is claiming a $750M project to build a brand new stadium on West Campus has been green lit  :jerk:

the first picture is graduation. the second picture idk who we are playing, but the view is awesome.

Looks like it was South Dakota St., which explains why the visitors section is so empty.  Attendance was 46,601.
It was against Mcneese State and the attendance was 41,068.

Are you thinking of the football program, or the entire AD?  I don't know off the top of my head, my guess is the former but not the latter.  I know you guys have that profit thingy from a year or so ago that is important to you, but you have to remember that your expenses were extremely low that year - that's not always a good thing.  Now that you've started spending more money and taking on bonds for facility upgrades, you'll start to see some pretty different figures.

I don't understand the "hole in the ground" talking point when these same KU fans want to get rid of the track by sinking their field into a "hole in the ground"

The difference between a hole and a-hole is subtle, yet distinct.

Do the ku people not understand that many of the most famous and iconic stadiums in history (Michigan stadium, Death Valley, etc) are sunken in the ground? Also, the field at arrowhead goes down about two stories beneth ground level. Are you all dumb or just really have nothing else to grasp onto at this point?

All dumb.

Nothing to grasp.

Too lazy to show you how those examples are not analogous.
