It's Garden State, but just like ten years later or so.  Same existential angst with kids now.  He's even playing an off-on actor again.

Just in Garden State. They used real velcro for the clips and then muted it.

It was really well done.  Andy Serkis as Cesar being the highlight.  It has James Franco in it. . .so that might be its one downside.

This next installment does not have James Franco and will utilize a lot more of Andy Serkis' depth as the leader of the Apes. (It also has Gary Oldman)  This sequel is shaping up to be much better than its predecessor.  Would recommend you catch the first one.

Guy I work with (huge comic nerd) commented that while dc can't make a single movie worth a crap, marvel is like, 'eff it, let's make a movie with a talking raccoon' and it will sell a lot of tickets

Most of DC's recent movies (ignoring Green Lantern) have been better than most recent Marvel movies, excluding Avengers, CA: Winter Soldier.

I think Guardians will change that.  You also have to take into consideration the X Men movies.  Those are Marvel movies. . .and First Class was good and Days of Future Past looks even better. (You could even include the Wolverine movie where he runs around Japan)

That's solely based on the Dark Knight trilogy, though. Remove that, and there is one pretty good Superman movie, an awful Green Lantern movie, and another really bad Superman movie. There really hasn't been much. Marvel is cranking 2 a year. They just don't have the universe or the fanchisability? that Marvel has. Hopefully Batman vs Superman will bring them a bit closer.

Meh, look at movies like the first Thor, the first Captain America, Iron Man 2. Those movies were bleh city. Not bad but just kind of meh. Also, as for the "universe" I agree, and that is the primary reason most people go to see Marvel movies that don't have Robert Downey Jr in them.

The crazy thing is that outside the marvel movie universe you also have spiderman and xmen that perform extremely well at the box office.  DC just doesn't have the market saturation.
