the arrow direction is simply to aid in determining which team is which (starting with 2003)
I am I correct in stating the 2008 KU team is the best of all championship teams since 2003?  :tsc:

I think it's the 2007 Florida Gators.

Well then, you'd be wrong.  It matches KU from the first chart.

The band of color are contour levels for expected winning percentage given the offensive and defensive efficiency.

Where does this data come from?

Don't know if its possible or not, but could you chart games from a singular season? Say, oscar before and after he lost the Illini?

yeah I don't think its very useful to look at.  Almost every team will end the year in the black area (because they lost).  Too much variance between strength of opponent and what not.

I think the yearly trends are fantastic though. Thanks again for doing them. How about Norm Roberts -> Steve Lavin and FAU w/ Mike Jarvis and the guy before him?

Yes, yearly trends are much better. Thanks for the chart though.

I think it's the 2007 Florida Gators.

Obviously according to the metrics KU is numero uno, but you have to remember that the 06-07 Florida team kind of lollygagged through the regular season but was completely dominant in the tournament.  KU did beat that FLA team with basically their same squad the year before (add Julian Wright).

I'm surprised that the 2004 UCONN team rated so poorly.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
