A look at JamSam's great game and a great breakdown of Lou vs Judge.

Me too, definately not as lazy as most writers seem to be.

The key is he goes beyond the boxscore.

Of course I think most writers just stick with the regular stats b/c that's what most fans follow and understand.  Going beyond that to efficiency stats, etc. (which give you a much better look at production) goes way beyond what most fans understand about the game, especially the older crowd.

For example there was a long thread on GPC the other day about how "bad" our defense is b/c we gave up so many points per game, but that person had no concept of possessions and points per possession.

I haven't figured out what type of player Wally will most closely resemble.  Who will we end up comparing him to?

It should be a rule that you can't compare current players to ones from the B2B decades of crap (DOS).  If Judge's game turns out to be anything like Kelly's, we should all be ecstatic.

Pervis was almost exactly same size and a similar athlete, though probably not quite as exposive.  Seriously, get past the travel, and he was pretty good, I just think he had a mentality similar to Dom sometimes.  Over 2 seasons he averaged 11-8 and was on pretty average teams.

You are absolutely out of your mind.  Pasco could never double clutch reverse scoop the ball in.  Judge has some NBA level skills.  Maybe you should watch video of Judge dunking.  I think you might be able to find some on youtube.  Pasco could do none of that.

Pasco wasn't as explosive, but he was a very good athlete.  I agree he couldn't do the things that Judge does.

To be fair, I don't think Wally will ever do this:

My hope is he can be a poor man's Darrell Arthur (to compare him to someone we are familiar with).

They have similar bodies and they both are better at facing up than posting up.  Arthur is a much better shooter, hence the poor man qualifier.

Also, Wallace has been asked to be more of 5 than Arthur was

Since we're at it with the Wally comparos, how about McGruder?

Someone on GPC tried to say James Anderson, which IMO is a bit much.  But I'd say perhaps Muonelo could be a good comparo, though he is a bit bigger than McGrudes.
