but we're all in agreement that he isn't so petty that he'd let a bunch of vocal kstate super fans get in the way of making the perfect (gottleib) hire. right? i mean he'll obviously do what is best for the university and it's fans and players and go through with the gottleib hire right? i believe he will. i believe in john currie to do the right thing.
I believe John Currie realizes he's one of the least popular people in Manhattan right now, and his boss probably doesn't want a full scale revolt right after they hire a basketball coach.
National perception of Currie is that he ran off one of the rock stars of college basketball (rightly or wrongly). Now he's getting Twitter bombed by fans wanting a TV analyst to fill the head coaching position because all of the names that have leaked thus far have royally sucked.
Now he's going to have people sitting outside of Bramlage, cooking kosher hot dogs, on a Saturday in support of said TV analyst.
If he ends up hiring some mid-major loser like Scott Sutton, the reaction on Twitter is going to be awful. He's got two or three more days of full scale social media fire coming right at him focused on one guy. If he doesn't go with that guy...
