Theory: Currie has an insider at Western Union that is to report all activity relating to players to him

Dumb theory, because they would need to recognize football too. I'm just thinking out loud. Damn amphetamines  :excited:

Once Jamar tossed the receipt its fair game.

false

I hate to get all lawyer-ie but any public trash can has no expectation of privacy.

On the bright side, the AD can't claim privacy concerns now because they spilled it and it will almost guarantee a KORA request has to be honored.

Get lawyer-y a little more. What is a KORA request, exactly? And also, why can the AD not claim privacy concerns? Wouldn't Jamar Samuels have privacy under FERPA, or the student (if it was indeed a student who turned him in or whatevs)?

Please don't LOL at me, I have no idea how any of this stuff works.

you think they won't try and hide behind Jamar's privacy? I thought I saw a thing from a local reporter that this current admin had denied alot of KORA requests?

I just don't like conspiracy theories. They are almost never accurate. Maybe Jamar had a jilted girlfriend/one night stand who knew the money was coming???

When does the "home run" hire happen? A Week?

Probably in 4 years after this hire goes to 2 NITs and no NCAAs

It's going to be Tad Boyle and it's not a homerun. That's getting to first base on a dropped third strike.

It's more like being hit by a pitch.

Once it is out of his control its fair game.  Not where I also made reference to his property.  So if the receipt was stolen out of his car/apt/book bag its illegit.

I'm not a lawyer but I'm guessing that precedent doesn't apply to grocery store employees.  I'm guessing that the cops have more protection of the law than a deli counter clerk.  Pretty sure I'd go to jail if I took financial info out of your trash can and used it to my liking.
once items are in a public place (curb, public trash recepticle) its fair game.  Now if it was in the trash behind the counter than Western Union is FUUUUUCK, if Jamar decided to pursue it.

some nice renderings of football expansion that hasn't been funded

It's been funded.

To say it's been funded is completely inaccurate.

It's been financially projected through estimated donations to service the debt.  And the $50 million in bonds the project is reliant upon have not been sold.

Enough funding has been secured to proceed.

I doubt it was on the floor, or in the trash, or even doing a floating on the air like a plastic bag in American Bueaty.  The story is BS.

I have it on good authority that it was a setup.  Word has it they first tried to pin something on Freddy Asprilla by rummaging through his trash, but all they kept finding was hair clippings and empty fire sauce packets.

I have a hard time believing that. Currie and Frank didn't even like each other. I don't think Currie had the personal relationship with Frank to know that Frank would take the South Carolina job, and it's pretty obvious that better programs just aren't interested in Frank. That whole plan really would have backfired if Frank had stayed.

The most obvious answer is that somebody who personally knew Jamar but did not like him happened to see him getting money at Western Union, saw him discard the receipt, and then picked up the receipt and turned Jamar in so that he wouldn't get to play his final game.

No.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever
