dudes, I have lived in SC, and believe me, that is the most  :opcat: bunch of bubba's I've ever seen..I remember a bar there called the Kountry Klub Konnection ....They don't like interracial marriages, Cubans, or anything that isn't white as grits...that place would make Lowrents  seem like Disney World, and Masa Self more like Santa!

Saw this posted on another site.

Just was on TheBigSpur.com and some guy posted that someone from USC confirmed that Frank Martin was in SC this week for an interview and that the AD offered Martin the job. They went on to say that Martin has accepted and it will be announced on Monday or Tuesday.

This was the first time I have been on that site, so I have no idea if it is a somewhat reputable site, or if it is like goEMAW.com. I really hope that FM doesn't think USC is seriously even a halfway decent job. Personally, if he takes the job, I think he would be taking multiple steps down, and I think it would show that Martin really isn't a man of as much character as we originally thought.

Obviously, my views are based solely on Martin accepting the job. I really hope this is not the case though.

If this is the case news will pick up quickly via twitter in the next few days.

I will be very disappointed in both Currie AND Frank if he leaves for South Carolina basketball.

Frank was not in South Carolina this week. He was recruiting. And if he had interviewed him it would've been at a neutral site, not in Columbia.  He's not having a presses tomorrow as he'll be on CBS.

I'll just laugh at the absurdity of it all. I mean, come on. It would be so K-State. What else are you going to do? If this sort of thing really clinically depressed you and you've been a K-State fan for long, then you would have  :goodbyecruelworld: long, long ago.

Is it safe to say that if Frank leaves this has to be put solely at the feet of Currie. Sorry if a repost - figured this board would be all over it.

A tragic, terrible day if its true. Frank is a golden calf for the BigXII. God I hate the SEC.

That is all.

Currie won't be blamed for this.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

I swear we just got off the "looking for a head coach" boat last week. Damn I hate this boat.

Can someone else name off other programs that are our fellow passengers, aside from Illinois?

John's going to tick the next box on the resume: Job hire.

Unfortunately for us, John is going to hire a horrible rough ridin' coach.

From what I've gathered working the phones, anyone saying Frank Martin to South Carolina is a done deal is really jumping the gun.
