Syracuse offensive struggles of late
« on: March 13, 2012, 06:47:06 PM »
Syracuse was 20-0 and then Mello missed next 3 games before returning for the last 10.    In those last 13 games, they have struggled on the offensive end.   Numbers in ( ) are their season total ave.

43.1 FG%  (46.5)
32.6 3pt%  (34.5)
48.3 eFG%  (51.9)
66.2 FT%  (69.1)
Pts per gm 66.3 (74.6)
OR% 33.4  (36.6)

*Their pts/gm is only 66.3 but the ave pace of those 13 games is pretty slow (62) so their ppp is 1.07
*They have still been forcing about 4 more TOs than committing OR a positive diff of 6.7 TO%.   Off TO% pretty much the same in the 13 gms compared to the reg season

And the 3 games without Mello =
*They were outrebounded 119-86
*Their OR% was only 25.4
*They only scored 60.3 pts/g  (1.01 ppp)
