It is interesting to look at the profiles of possible opponents. Virginia and St Louis both have slow teams with really good defenses, but no suprise given their coaches. Cinci, Bama, and UConn both have solid defensive teams that play pretty slow too. There are several stylistic defenses between many of the teams. Honestly the team I may like the least is Virginia because they are really good at not allowing oboards and forcing bad eFG%. Also solid at not fouling on defense. Pretty much play a very sagging man to man which could give the pinwheel fits. Also play at only 60 possessions, the slowest of any of our opponents. That said, I think we could possibly beat them up and they don't have great offense.

Okay so we were a 5 seed last year, but I remember expecting about a 7 seed going into Selection Sunday. Chances we get moved around enough again this year to keep us out of the 8, 9 game?

i want kentucky. i also want adrian diaz' sold purpose in life on the day we play kentucky to viciously foul anthony davis and make nothing easy for him. an injury to davis would be a good thing. i want adrian to play 8 minutes and have 5 fouls.

Still say its about 10% chance we could get a 7 seed, and 75% chance we are a home team (7/8 seed)
Id be stunned if we got a 10 seed (2%) but that would get us off the 8/9 game

I see KU being the 2 (or maybe 1) in the West.  Mizzou is gonna be the 2 seed prob in St louis (but perhaps Atlanta).  Baylor likely is a 3 seed in whatever region Mizzou doesnt go to (So prob South).   

So if that is the case, a very good shot either 8/9 seeded Ksu and Isu goes out east to be with the Cuse.   The other one would prob be in the MW or South.     So its not real clear on what region we would be in if we got an 8/9 seed. 

If we somehow got the 7, we would very likely be in the East with 2 seed Duke.       But that is probably just wishful thinking.
