Remember when Will drove baseline and tried that underhand scoop shot that slammed into the bottom of the backboard?

yes, I remember the crap out of it.   :curse:

Hey dudes, I haven't eaten any food since lunch yesterday and had 10 beers since.   Should I nap or go fight someone?

ok, yes, much better odds with Tay.

Tay is a 32% on his career as a Jr.  Will is a 35% as a So. Will will end his career much higher even including this awful season.

how on earth could you be so confident? fair point on tay with career numbers, but i'm tired of the will is going to bounce out of his slump talk.

I'm tired of the "Will peaked as a freshman and will probably be this bad forever" talk.

Agreed.  He will get better.  he pretty much has to given that he will be working out and playing under professional supervision for two more years and offseasons.  However, everyone's ceiling is diff.  Will's ceiling may be strictly a passable shooter with hard effort defense.  Right now he is a victim of expectations built by our staff.

I've never said that. He's somewhere between last year good and this year bad.

I'm pretty sure you just said he peaked as a freshman you rough ridin' dolt.

Right now he is a victim of expectations built by our staff.

I keep hearing this, and it's rough ridin' stupid. What are they expecting him to do? He doesn't shoot much, doesn't handle the ball much when Angel's in the game. I mean he's basically been nothing but a ball-reverser who takes a wide open 3 a couple times a game. WHAT RIDICULOUS EXPECTATIONS DO YOU PEOPLE KEEP TALKING ABOUT.

This reminds me of the Morningreed vs. Elijah Johnson debates.  Turns out the Elijah Johnson group was right.

Frank has spent many an interview telling all tuning in how much of a leader will is,how much ability he has, and how he is the future of the team.  It is not stupid to hear that from a head coach and expect that player to do well.

Pro tip: coaches spew pure bullshit in interviews, especially when they mention "leadership"

I understand coaches and their BS and it's uses/reasons, but you usually don't see such tactics being applied to a kid immediately.  Jr yr, sure.  end of Frosh yr, not usually.

LP. I really don't know what you're talking about. (I don't think it means anything, I just am curious).

Sure it does.  White shooter/"solid defender" vs. black shooter/higher potential.  It is the same exact argument.

I really hate Will.

I don't hate Will.  I hate that he is given so much time.  I would love Will if he was our first guard off the bench and our 2 position was better than it is now.

So....what's the juice?  What are us idiots missing?   We are too stupid to get it.  Just a bunch of morons who never played.  Tell all of the dumbasses here what's up.  Not too much to ask because I just paid money to watch Will miss every shot he took and play dogshit defense.  I admit, I never played basketball like Ben or you and all you guys who know basketball.

What I am saying is that Frank started building Will up immediately after last year's play ended.  It just sucks that all that was basically just a challenge to Will and Will's ability isn't the level you would expect given the size of challenge.

I think the Tay v Will issue will change with a more reliable/consistent Angel.

I'm concerned about this.  Not that angel won't get better, but how much by next year?  I dunno.  If there was any year for frank to hit a Pierre Jackson in the spring, it would be this year.
