I hope fr wasn't at that soccer game this weekend.
Felix, hope you and your family are doing well. I have nothing exciting to report. The happy couple got married earlier this week and the wedding went off without any problems. They did have to move it up one day because a protest group scheduled a huge rally in the park where they had the reception. My grand-daughter and daughter seemed far more excited about the henna (?) ceremony the day before the wedding. Apparently it is some deal where the families get together and paint their toenails or something. I didn't really pay attention to the explanation. After the wedding, a bunch of bombs went off in Cairo, but everyone from the families left for a resort with a beach. They sent pictures and it looks like a good time. The only bad news is the new husband hasn't been able to get permission to leave the country for a visit to the USA. Maybe it will be easier now that he is married to a U.S. citizen. Stay safe over there.
I pretty much internet exclusively from my phone now, and tapatalk won't let me upload photos. So, via Twitter, here's what happened when we went bar hopping last night carrying our own jug of sangria (the secret ingredient is too much Grand Marnier): https://twitter.com/the_felixrex/status/576745960249884672Turns out, if you tell Egyptians you're from the Cairo Zoom blog, you can get them to do lots of ridiculous crap while photographing them.
Are the old Cairo rich families going to laugh at the New Cairo rich?

I hope that the old Cairos attempt to smear these Habibi come latelys in the most demeaning possible terms.
