Guys....what if its Shane?  :bawl:
why would you think that?  He has been getting the most PT out of any possible candidates.

Has playing time been a good measure of getting franked?

Dom, Spri, Wally, and Nick were all given significant minutes at one point or another.

I just felt like all of those players saw wide swings in PT, while Shane has just been Shane.  Dom, admittedly, doesn't fit my theory, he did have consistent amount of PT.

southie is the most likely candidate to transfer (not counting watson because i don't know what the eff is going on with him).  congrats on being smart, swiftcat.

maybe lawrence is equally likely, that's kind of a hard read too.  but southie is way more likely than jones.

Care to expand on South over Jones for transfer?  I would have guessed that South's prior performances and his ability to average out minutes puts him more in a safe spot than Jones.  I understand that Jones has an injury issue voiding a significant sample of his career, but he has had less consistent PT which I think shows his increased likelihood to be Franked.

He's probably talking about the white walk on guy.

Dear Frank,

Don't Frank Jones.  Frank Omari or the white walk on guy.

Confirmed.

Sys, I'm guessing your reasoning behind Shane being the likeliest to transfer is that he is most likely to be able to transfer and then get to play a lot immediately? (immediately after becoming eligible)

Shane wouldn't be eligible to play immediately, if he transfers he'll have to sit out a year.

He could, but I think he could go to the Valley and do alright.  Missouri State, Northern Iowa, etc.

10 bad minutes is more likely, but that'd still be encouraging.

people won't know what to think if that happens.

#teamshane would swell with newcomers.

Mixed emotions about Sprads transferring.  First of all, it won't happen, but if it did it would be a huge shot against frank.  Frank hasn't put so much talk, trust, faith, and responsibility into one kid other than Jake.  Also, he is horrible, but can you imagine trying to fill 30 min with what we have now and one KCCC kid?  Horrible thought.

Best case scenario is that we Frank Omari to get a competent guard, Jet turns in to something that can pass as a 15+ min per game shooter, and Angel keeps developing at the rate he has.

You should put a meter in his locker with a control panel in your office.

How about Sprads not being a starter and coming off of the bench for the remainder of his career.

I'm open to negotiation.

I would def prefer that team, but I am also a realist, a realist that can recognize when someone is not able to play and process at a certain speed of competition.

What is bad is that he can't.  What is worse is that a lot of national ppl think our confy is down this year.  If will is doing willthings now, what happens when TX grows up, Huggs hits town, and KU gets reloaded?

Sprads will be an upperclassmen and hopefully will be more willing to take wide open shots and not miss them. I don't think his whole career is a lost cause. He just is getting too many minutes this year.

I'm the same. Sprads is better than he's playing, he was a 33% 3pt shooter last year in conference games. He's had stretches of being a good shooter, but clearly the combination of Big 12 defenses figuring him out and IMHO confidence issues shooting the ball have taken their toll. Still, he is getting a high number of open looks and he can't hit them. He is passing up shots. All while Frank has made his offensive role much more similar to last year by playing Angel at PG.

Realistically I don't think he is going anywhere. The only solution is for him to get better, but I think Frank needs to help by scaling back his role and his minutes until he can get some confidence back.

Sprads is fine at this level if he hits shots (as a starter or off the bench.) His free throw shooting is still good and he shot well last year, so I'd expect his shooting to be better next year by quite a bit.
