I think UCR basketball is still moving ahead. I still believe our program is better. If you look at the standings, you put two more wins -- virtually a minute's worth of basketball, free throw here, a defensive possession there -- you could win two more games and you're in the middle of the pack again. At UCR, one of the things in the building of the program, the stage we're in, This is going to be a big year for us ... we're close. There are improvements that have been made and there's a future that if we keep working at it, can be better for UCR basketball.

The fact that home court got away from us as opposed to a year ago when were 11-2, we didn't protect our home floor. ...How did that happen? We just didn't get it done. ... One of the things that sticks out about this team is the fact we never developed a second-line scorer. We didn't shoot the ball with a lot of confidence. We just didn't have enough shot-making to balance our team out.
What kind of kid fits best into UCR? What kind of kid fits best into this program? We're always looking for kids who want to be overachievers or have some record of success. ... This is going to be a big year for us ... we're close.

This. It's like eating a peanut buster parfait. Reminds me of being a kid. A bitter, disgusting, false hope filled peanut buster parfait.
Love the wooly.
