What was that pre-game drill that Jack Hartman had them run where everybody ran in a figure 8 around the free throw line and the ball stayed right in the middle and got passed from player to player?  And the band had a specific song that they played when the team ran it?  Was that the 3-man weave?  Seems like I remember more than 3 guys, but it always finished with the last guy dribbling 4 or 5 times to the hoop and executing a picture perfect layup.

I think the Harlem Globetrotters did/do it.

Sorry for the crappy description.

Anyway, maybe our offense would have more motion if Coach Martin brought that back.

And Hartman also got really pissed off when anybody missed a dunk and preferred layups because the percentage is higher when you use the backboard.  They put that square on there for a reason.  Maybe Coach Martin should ban dunking.
Nope.  start at baseline, 3 guys spread out, middle person with ball.  pass one way, go behind while everyone's running forward going the full length of the court and the last person lays it in.  Was  :ohno: over this in middle school

He's way off on rap destroying basketball.  Elvis ruined society and that directly brought about the downfall of basketball.  Any basketball historian knows this... Tannoujdi is a fake.

Guesses on Tann's all-time basketball team?

I'm going to with Cousy, Pistol Pete, Bird, Laetner, Walton.  6th man: Chitwood Tannoudji.

:dunno:

Greatest Historical Team of All Time?

the song was the "can-can"... and, add that to willie doing a strip tease and i begin to wonder if coach hartman was actually as square as he came off to be... but, they could really move that ball during that drill  <link is a youtube the song (i think that's jim roder in the middle <lol>)

i nominate this for BTOAT

*best thread of all-time

nooudji, I have always enjoyed the "star passing" drill, but lately I've started to see it as too "showy" and "hot-doggish."  Am I passing too strict a judgement or is is star passing part of the "look at me hip-hop culture" that is ruining the game?

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

4 rules of college basketball

1.  Recruit the top prospect in the country
2.  Hire his father
3.  Win championship
4.  Repeat as necessary
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps, etc.

You know, normally I'd like this.  But I'm just not in the mood.  EMAW is on the move, folks.  No time to waste, gear up for the Road to the Final Four!

Two things:

1. Dunking ban is def where the reform should start. Crowd hates it, kids look stupid and awkward doing it, and the press lampoons those that use it too much anyway. Def start here.

2.  Very impressed by JFC and his lever action 30-30. Didn't know he stayed up this late and all. His turn on patrol?

Mods, can Tannoudji do his own podcast??? PLEASE???

I'm all for this if the logistics can be worked out and Tannoudji is willing.  Although I'd prefer that this be suggested on everymanawildcat.com first so we can officially steal it.

The "fast break", as you put it, should be used when we have numbers like 3 on 2 . . . 4 on 2 I would pull back.

You give the green light to the 3 on 2 break.  But, you pump the breaks on the 4 on 2.  Interesting philosophy.

I imagine that the nnoudj's voice is very soft and soothing and compliments the serene depiction of sharpshooter Jesus.  If he talks like he writes, he sounds very wise.

Hey Tann(Bobby Knight and Henry Iba say HELL YA!)

Your team would be destroyed by these cats.  There is a reason you don't get it. Look in the mirror.
