Negative. I met her when she was a freshman at TCU. Addictive personality didn't show up until after we had been together for about 4 years. The crazy was always present though.

Not a lie. I knew she had a depressive disorder (thought it was bipolar, ended up being major depressive disorder) but she was medicated and pretty stable for the first 4 years of our relationship. She had family issues because her parents are delusional people but no addictive tendencies were visible.

She tried to go without meds around '04-05 and that's when the addictive traits showed up. After that point, it became one thing after another (not all of them substance related, it was compulsive eating for awhile). She was back on meds after our kid was born in '06 because she was having postpartum depression. Then it's been on/off for meds ever since then.
