i haven't been bothered by a loss in any sport since the wisconsin tourney game last year. this one bothered me.

The only bright spot I can find to help me get through this. Is to think we are only 10 points from being a top 5 team.  I know its not much, but gives me just the slightest of hope that in February we can get over the hump.

I don't want to rough ridin' watch them play in the NIT. I don't care if they lose in the first round of the tournament. Just please make it. I want McGruder to come out and say he isn't going to play in the NIT and then leads us to 4 straight wins.

We will make the tourney in a year we didn't think we'd make the tourney. I've talked myself off the ledge guys. The only person i'm fully frustrated w/ is effing Spradling. He better be everyones effing scapegoat, cause he's an eff'er. Other than that, lets grow together you guys.

I punched the crap out of the ground after the no call on mcgruds because I just knew what was too come. Then I realized i'm 27 and i'm an effing Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) for doing that. I then turned off the game after Royce, and popped in JT's new movie. which is pretty good btw.

Minor meltdown in shower.  No biggie.  The meltdown was last night.

Problem with a meltdown is you have to have a clear goat to really focus your hate on.  I can't see one from last night.  We just don't have the talent we have had in past years.  Or it isn't mature enough.  Either one doesn't really give me a lightning rod to focus my meltdown energy on.

I am also predicting that someone will get Frank'd this week.  Which should be fun.

I know some will disagree w/ me, but the goat has gotta be Will.  Not saying we need to Frank him, but my god.  He had three points and it wasn't because he missed a bunch of shots.  He is completely unable.  Completely.  I think Frank banked on him being what he was in the OOC.   

I think will has lots of talent and would be a fantastic guard in the valley or maybe conf usa.

We need Angel to stop fouling so that we can turn Sprads into a guy that just stands on the perimeter and waits for someone to kick it to him after drawing the entire D 30' away from him. 

Also, WTF is up w/ Shane? 

Pretty obvs that Shane and Omari are gonners.

I had my meltdown earlier in the year when I still had really high (and higher than reasonable) expectations for this team after drinking my full of purple koolaid after VT/Bama/Hawaii.

BU and @OU ruined that. Then OU and now @ISU have confirmed my concerns after those games. Don't get me wrong, last night was extremely frustrating, especially when losing the lead, but I wasn't surprised with a loss there. ISU is a pretty good team.

At my most optimistic I'm hopeful to win out at home and get 1 more road win (10-8), though that's tough to really expect right now. 9-9 seems more likely, and maybe 8-10. I always come back to the mantra that you are never as good as you think you are (as most of us thought when we were 12-2 after destroying MU), nor are you ever as bad as you think (right now for most). Unless Frank loses this team (I don't think he will) we'll still probably win at least one or two games than most of us expect right now. Of course we'll probably lose at least 1 we don't expect too.

I completely agree with everything you typed.  IMO, Will is the goat.  He has sucked something awful.  If he wasn't garbage, both defensively and offensively, there might be hope for this team (this year and next). Maybe with Omari and Shane's open scholarships, for once frank can go get a juco guard that is a real impact.
