If I were a university president hiring today for Average Big 12 University, this would be my ranking:
1) Gundy (Recruits, good game coach, hungry for title, young.)
2) Patterson (Gundy, except a bit less on each category.)
3) Stoops (Wins. A lot. But how much longer does he want to coach, and can he get back to national title pinnacle?)
4) Holgorson (Seems on good track, but relatively unproven.)
5) Briles (Can recruit. Game coaching is iffy. Relatively young.)
6) Rhodes (Seems solid. Can he be spectacular?)
7) Brown (If he were 10 years younger, he'd be #1.)
8) Tuberville (Could move back up this list pretty fast over the Rhodes and Briles of the world.)
9) Snyder (If he were 25 years younger, he'd be #1.)
10) Weis (This isn't going to end well.)
