Maybe, but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who could also handle the Texas politics involved with the job. Mack is the best coach Texas could have right now, and they will probably never have another coach as good as him moving forward.

Snyder is #1 per Terrence Newman.  He said it right after we rehired him.  And this article was written by a KU douche in 2010 right after we stomped them.

This pains me to admit, but the best coach in the Big 12 is Kansas State's LHC Bill Snyder.

I distinctly recall when Snyder returned to the gig a couple of years I asked former Wildcats and current Dallas Cowboys DB Terence Newman what he thought of the move. I thought it reeked of desperation, and that the Cats were trying to re-create what was no more. That this was going to be more proof that you can never go home again.

Even as a Kansas grad, it's hard to ignore what the man does. Especially now.
If you've never been to Manhattan, Kan. you will quickly realize that recruiting to this town isn't necessarily easy. This is a rural area that is difficult to reach, among other things.

But Snyder continues to rank as one of the most impressive head coaches in the modern era. To win on the scale that Kansas State has in his two tenures in Manhattan is remarkable; he is 145-64-1.

If we're taking recruiting into the equation, I'm good with this list if you flip Rhodes with Weis.

Weis is easily the worst coach in the conference.  Tuberville won at Auburn.
