Best Laid Plans. The defeat of JD falling down on his bed at the end of the second sequence is so powerful. Possibly my favorite episode, easily top 3.

Also meant to mention that Elliot looks her best in this season, imho.

Season Five

Really didn't think i'd enjoy the 5th season as much as i did. It had more quality episodes than any other season. The humor is a little different, which leads to some iffy episodes thrown in...but still very good.

1.
My Lunch/My Fallen Idol (E20/E21) - Dr. Cox loses three patients because of his mistake. This was actually the first episode i ever saw. Randomly turned to NBC one night and got lucky, been hooked ever since. in My Lunch about makes me cry every time. of My Fallen Idol is just as good, and actually enjoy that episode a little more.

2. My Way Home (E07) - 100th epi -JD's day off is spent in the hospital as Turk needs a heart, Carla needs courage, and Elliot needs brains. There are a million allusions to The Wizard of Oz in the episode. One of the best written episodes of the series, complete with . Zach Braff directed this one too, i think.

3. My Cabbage/My Five Stages (E12/E13) - JD tries to get rid of Cabbage before he causes too much harm, but not before Cabbage infects Ms. Wilk, leading to her death. to My Cabbage still gets me when Cabbage tries leaving.

4. My New God (E05) - Dr. Cox's sister visits for Jack's Baptism. I'm guessing i enjoy this episode more than most. It's just nice seeing from Dr. Cox.

5. My Day at the Races (E03) - JD tries to cross things off the list by age 30. This episode stuck about because it consistently made me laugh. Still wish we found out what Jake's sexual fantasy was, that scared Elliot off. damn.

6. My New Suit (E18) - JD's brother comes back for a visit. Dr. Cox insults Kelso's kid, Carla and Turk pick out baby names. I love , very cool.

7. His Story III (E19) - Episode with The Janitor narrating instead of JD. Hilarious throughout and stuck with me because it was nice to see .

His Story III ranks a little higher for me. Pretty hilarious episode. And you realize at the end that you actually care about the janitor, despite the fact that he rarely goes through anything serious (except for My Best Laid Plans). But at the end when he turns the corner to "where no one knows my name", I had a strong emotional response, which is pretty cool.

Season Six

Watched this season over a longer period of time, and as result didn't keep as good of tabs like past seasons. So I'll just list episodes that left an impression on me, with embedded links. Probably the weakest season overall, imho.

1.
My Cold Shower (E18) - JD realizes he should have Elliot. Really liked Keri Russell in these episodes. Top 5 Scrubs ending ever for me.

2. My Point of No Return (E22) - Season Finale. Janitor's gift storyline throughout was hilarious.

3. My Musical (E06) - You either love or hate this episode. I obviously loved it. Every song was ridiculously creative. Two favorites were and mainly because of the Janitor's dancing.

4. My Best Friend’s Baby and My Baby’s Baby (E02) - Turk has his daughter and JD & Kim decide on their kid. Liked this music sequence here. and this bit. This episode also includes one of Scrubs' best lines.

5. My House (E04) - Really good ending, especially the first time i watched it. Wish they would have handled that Carla storyline differently though.

6. My No Good Reason/My Long Goodbye (E14/E15) - Laverne's death storyline.  Both Endings are well done.

7. My Road to Nowhere (E08) - Episode wasn't that great. But i included it because of the twist ending.

Dashboard in My Cold Shower puts tears in my eyes everytime. And man, Say Anything in the season finale? It wasn't that I thought it made the scene or anything, I just love me some Say Anything. Funny story, Say Anything is also in one of the first Breaking Bad episodes. Hearing your favorite band in your favorite TV show is a pretty surreal experience.

Dubdub, what happened to your season breakdowns?

Season Two

I watched this season over a long period of time, unlike season 1...so i didn't get as detailed with this list. Every episode was good...i can't really even think of a bad episode in this season. Which is why, IMHO, Season 2 is Scrubs' best season. It was hard to narrow the list down, but these episodes stuck with me the most....so here we go.

1.
My T.C.W (E18) - Clearly the best episode of the season. It had everything...so many good lines throughout. JD's rant to everyone bitching about relationships, combined with the ending and song choice, just set it apart. oh, yeah...T.C.W.!

2. My Overkill (E01) - Everything starts to fall back into place after Jordan blows everything up the episode before. I probably over value this episode but i don't care. The usage of Colin Hay at the beginning and end sets it apart as well.

3. My Philosophy (E13) - JD loses his heart patient. Turk/Ralphie ring stuff was gold.  The "someone lives, someone dies, circle of life" storyline was great, which made the ending harder. I'm a sucker for songs and stuff...so the "musical" type ending with everyone singing was right up my alley. Extremely well done.  Interesting tidbit - The actress, who will eventually play The Janitor's wife, appears in the episode as a doctor.

4. My Sex Buddy (E12) - JD wants to be more than sex buddies with Elliot, but she doesn't. This probably could be combined with My Monster as well, since both episodes deal with JD and Elliot getting together. The ending really sticks with me, probably because of the song choice and relating to his issues.

5. My Dream Job  (E22) - Season Finale. Dr. Kelso is being extra hard on Elliot the whole episode, when Dr. Cox punches him in the face. Dr. Cox finally realizes he's a dad, thanks to JD and Turk's friend, played by Ryan Reynolds(!) spilling the beans.

6. My Interpretation (E20) - JD decides to go after T.C.W. after her husband finally dies. Dr. Cox connects with Jack, before realizing he's the father. The storylines in this one just make it great: JD seeing The Janitor's penis outside his window. Still crack up every time he explains it to him. And Turk having fantasies about Elliot(Hot). Also, still pissed at how they ended the T.C.W. arc. She could have been a great character, but she just randomly disappears after My Drama Queen. WTF?!

7. My Fruit Cups (E08) - Dr. Cox picks Prego Jordan over the Pharmaceutical rep. The others go through money issues including Elliot getting cut off from her dad.

8. My Nightingale (E02) - First night they are running the hospital. Carla goes out of her way to help them, without them realizing it. Love Ted's group singing old tv show theme songs throughout.

Just saw My T.C.W. last night and man did I underrate that episode, it was unbelievable.  Slimz breakdown of the episode:

This is combo-fanning at it's finest. Great breakdown, DubDub. JD's rant in TCW is one of my favorites of the entire series.

No doubt. Had to YouTube it just now just to watch it again.

JD:

The group:  :sdeek:   :dubious:  :nono:

JD:   :curse:  :angryMJ: :comeatme:

The group:   :horrorsurprise:

Nurse Roberts:   :peek:

was perfect.  Nurse Roberts was hilarious throughout.  Still not sure if it is as good as My Overkill though.  Also I am going back to posting what episode I watched on a given evening and posting my favorite quote from that episode.  Starting tonight with My Kingdom.

An aside.  This summer as I was in New Hampshire, I worked with not one but three different people that are as into Scrubs as we (Jake & WW) are.  In person Scrubs breakdowns are incred.

MIR, if you asking for a scrubsPAK, we'll have a scrubsPAK. We'll watch all of our favorite episodes, drink some appletinis, the works. Obviously, this will have to be on a bye week, or the night after another early game.

Who would be the base for world's most giant doctor? I vote Jakesie, obviously. I'm not quite so strong through the trunk.

also, recently found out a coworker likes scrubs as much as me. Agree with MIR in person Scrubs discussions are awesome.

Season Seven

Short season as only 11 episodes were made due to the writer's strike. Basically killed any chance of it being a good/great season. Still some quality episodes in there.

1.
My Dumb Luck (E09) - Dr. Kelso decides he wants to leave on his own terms, even after the others got his job back. Kelso reminisced most of the episode with the intern Boone(woof). Probably should have been the Season Finale, at least that's how i treat it.

2. My Own Worst Enemy (E01) - Season Premiere. Elliot decides she doesn't want to marry Keith. JD realizes he doesn't love Kim. Because of this episode i now use the term "Occam's Razor" quite frequently. Also, Matt Kearney is a bawse. Random gripe: HOW WOULD YOU NOT CHECK THE SCALP FOR A TICK BITE?!

3. My Princess (E11) - Technically the Season Finale, although it was aired out of order. Reading online, a lot of people don't seem to like this episode...but i like it. Dr. Cox tells his son a story about his day at the hospital. Half the episode is set in a fairytale. Enjoyed the different music and ending to the episode.

4. My Identity Crisis (E04) - The Janitor challenges JD to learn everybody's name in the hospital. Turk learns Spanish for Carla. Not a great episode, but i really liked it. JD and The Janitor's interaction was great throughout.

Season Eight

After not being picked up by NBC, Scrubs got another chance on ABC and the writers came through. Just a great season throughout, ending with most fans' "Series Finale". Dammit, i didn't want it to end.

1.
My Finale (E18) - Season(or Series) Finale. I don't think you can ask more from a finale. Or do you?! JD had a nice scene with pretty much every cast member... His moment with Dr. Cox was so great. Pretty much impossible not to tear up sometime in that ending.

2. My Chief Concern (E17) - JD decides to take a job closer to Sam.  The Janitor struggles with change. Ending really hits hard.

3. My Soul on Fire, Part 2 (E15) - The Janitor gets married in the Bahamas. JD finally tells Elliot he loves her the right way. Ted singing an acoustic version of "Hey Ya" is pretty much the best thing ever. Also, Bill Lawrence should stick to writing/directing instead of acting.

4. My Last Words (E02) - JD and Turk skip Steak Night to talk to a dying patient. Watching this multiple times kind of takes the vulnerability out, but I really liked the 1st time viewing.

5. My Lawyer's in Love (E08) - Ted finally gets a girlfriend. That, in and of itself, is a great plot line. The songs his love interest sings are catchy and fun. JD and The Janitor spend a large amount of time interacting and it's hilarious. Dr. Cox realizes he doesn't have time for everything.

6. My ABCs (E05) - This was meant to be the 1st episode of the season, so they introduce the new interns. They did a great job of casting, considering two now star in their own sitcoms...as well as Jimmie the overly-touchy orderly, who's now on SNL. Sesame Street is a theme throughout, which explains the ending. Maybe deserves to be higher on my list.

7. My Happy Place (E04) - JD and Elliot finally get back together with the help of Dr. Kelso. Probably doesn't deserve a place on my list, but it sets up the rest of the season, so what the heck.

My ABCs and My Finale are both in my all-time top 3 (My Overkill).  JD walking through that hallway and seeing his future is amazing.  On My ABCs the guy dying for me is the saddest moment in the history of the show.  The Sesame Street cameos were unbelievable.

The best part of this season was an introduction to two rising comedic stars, Aziz Ansari and Eliza Coupe, who were both phenomenal on the season and continue to do so on their current projects.  These two might be my two favorite current comedic actors.

Did you guys ever see the webisodes during this season?  They were called "Interns" and it featured the interns, mainly Sunny Day and Jo, they were great.  It gave me promise for the next season but they went in a completely different direction even from the webisodes.

My ABC's had the saddest moment for you? wow, big words. I just wasn't invested enough in him; i think other characters from past seasons dying would take the cake for me.

Currently love Coupe on Happy Endings. Really excited about this new season.

I caught a couple, mainly i remember Jimmy the overly-touchy orderly one. I need to get on the youtubes.

it wasn't the character but the moment, the wife and kid, JD crying (only time on the series I believe), Josh Radin's sesame street theme playing underneath, it just got me.  The character that dies that I thought was the saddest storyline was Luverne.  JDs dad dying was completely different for me because I really liked John Ritter, threes company was my favorite show when I was a kid & I really like Sling Blade.  Jill Tracy's death and the four succeeding deaths was also a very sad storyline.  As documented several times, Ben's death did nothing for me.

It (obviously) wasn't Ben's death that was sad, it was Dr. Cox's realization of it. Watching it in order, which is rare since everyone now makes their way through the series by watching reruns, it was the first time you had ever seen Dr. Cox weak. And that's a pretty big moment.

agreed, except the Ben part of course. Also, Mrs. Wilk's death was very sad for me. When Coldplay's Fix You was played at the end of My Cabbage, pretty powerful.
