On another topic, from listening to them the last 6 months or so, it really seems like that some sort of "reboot" will happen. I doubt it will be a full series but a short runner or maybe a movie seems pretty likely now, imo.

I imagine the first episode ending with a Dr. Cox classic line, said off screen. Or maybe not a classic line, but simply "That'll never work!" Then the camera is flipped and zooms in on him as he says, "Hey newbie. Good to see you again". Credits roll. Then he's in every episode going forward.

Kind of like Saved By the Bell - The New Class, How I Met Your Father, and Frasier, I don’t think it could do anything to tarnish the original. But odds are it won’t be that good.

I’d definitely check out the first few episodes though.

who knows if it will be good. But i do think they learned some things from Season 9 and will avoid them. My guess is it will have a season 8 vibe.

The good news is that Bill Lawrence is still very capable of writing comedies with lots of heart, as shown by Ted Lasso and Shrinking. And I would imagine he'll be very hands on.

So yes, I think it will have season 8 vibes if he's still in the flow of writing those two shows.
