Can't review goal tending

Why the eff not? If you can review whether a player's foot was on the 3-point line, you sure as eff should be able to review goal tending.

But that's the thing. It is a correctable error. It's exactly the same scenario as reviewing a 3-point shot. There's a definitive definition of both and neither are judgement calls.

Once a goal tend is called, the whistle blows and play stops without a rebound or basket. If it isn't a goal tend, who gets the ball?

This particular goaltending call involved a ball hitting the backboard. Most don't. Don't think I want to see those other reviewed, especially if there's no stoppage in play.
But the play should have replayed on the scoreboard screen repeatedly, just to let the refs know they mumped up and owed us a call.
