I may leave the flags home tomorrow and focus solely on booing.

it looks like they are allowed to rape and murder and then rape the murdered body while going for a rebound.  but on the perimeter i'm not sure they get away with a lot more than normal teams at home.  their fans do an amazing job of intimidating the refs.

This. Their crowd deserves a lot of credit for psychologically intimidating the ref (which should really be the top priority for any home crowd). Just amazing at booing.

It's why sys was so pissed at our fans after BU.

Interesting parallel to AFH:

Quote
Dohmen found that home-field advantage was smaller in stadiums that happened to have a running track surrounding the soccer pitch, and larger in stadiums without a track.

No chance of that, and ar-t needs to see that flag up there now more than ever.

Good God I agree 100% with MIR.  The fact that he has given you a shout out in twitter for bringing those flags shows what nice work they are.

It's also hilarious how KU fans try to "insult" every other fan base in the conference by saying they "boo" everything, all the while not realizing that not only is this a good thing, but that they are best at it.

Agreed . . . the zeal for Boo really ramped up last night at AllenBooHouse

I just discovered tonight that I'm only one degree of separation from these guys. Would love to convince them to do a case study followup on the self-described "angriest fan base" to see where we really rank.  And, more importantly, have them break down the most rewarding times during a game to engage in specific behaviors (negative booing, positive cheering, disappointed oooooh!ing and the like.

First, let's consider what makes up home-court advantage. I think there are four things that give the road team a disadvantage: altitude, travel, unfamiliarity with the surroundings and hostile fans. Based on this study, I also think that's their order of importance.
