Point, Sys.

rough ridin' KU is a different animal in that place.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Doesn't hurt that the baptist aggies refuse to get within 4 feet of whoever has the ball.

Kind of what I'm saying, teams go in there and play like absolute ass.

BU is completely out of their game.  Ku at home is a buzzsaw.  New year, different players, same result.  Doesn't matter

The team should have held up a picture of Scott Drew and then made Frank run steps for 2.5 hours.

Oh, man.   This post needs some love.

tyshawn's defense on the perimeter (+releford & johnson) was a huge factor.  you saw how they shut down the dribble drive where we got punished.  they are so much more athletic (stronger and longer and quicker) than we are on the perimeter.

their success on defense might have to do w/ a different defensive philosophy.  ku is aggressive on defense but i can't remember if they guard to the half court line with all 5 guys like we do.   do you see Withey hedging on ball screens like JO (can't remember).  if JO is guarding his man (who is setting a ball screen) all the way out on the perimeter and they can't stop the ball screen how does he get back to defend the paint.

maybe this belongs in the criticize Frank thread?

They get away with more fouls in AFH than anyone anywhere.

This is what it all boils down to.  Do all the HBBIQ Xing and Oing you want, but it doesn't matter if you can hack and slap and bludgeon until the ball pops loose.

it looks like they are allowed to rape and murder and then rape the murdered body while going for a rebound.  but on the perimeter i'm not sure they get away with a lot more than normal teams at home.  their fans do an amazing job of intimidating the refs.

This. Their crowd deserves a lot of credit for psychologically intimidating the ref (which should really be the top priority for any home crowd). Just amazing at booing.

It's why sys was so pissed at our fans after BU.

It's also hilarious how KU fans try to "insult" every other fan base in the conference by saying they "boo" everything, all the while not realizing that not only is this a good thing, but that they are best at it.
