Strongly disagree.  I'd say that it's weaker than it was ~10 years ago, but not dead by a long shot.  There are genres that are much better on PC than on console (RTS and MMO come to mind), mouse + keyboard allows for a more complex play style and modding can make some games much better.  Modding has even spawned a couple newer genres that are primarily on PC (MOBA, tower defense).  There is also a much larger PC gaming library than console library because the majority of console games are ported to PC.

i was playing CPMA before you were born son.  i'm also smart enough to realize that developers have left the pc market and are now concentrated on the console market, where the players and the money are.  sure they'll port their games, but not until they release them first to consoles.
