I have never owned a video game console. Has never really been my thing. I am probably going to buy a PS4 though. What are the 3 best games going to be? Besides Madden (lol)

If you like spending longer periods of time on games with great stories and adventures, you can't do much better than Tomb Raider (2013 reboot), Skyrim (swords and dragons), Red Dead Redemption (Western), Mass Effect series (space), Bioshock series (underwater utopia), Fable series (hard to explain, XBOX only), Uncharted series (Playstation only), Gears of War (XBOX only).
If you can only spend short times of your day playing games and just need some instant gratification, go for Call of Duty Black Ops II (shooter, faster and arcade like with little 12 year old kids quickscoping), Battlefield 3 (shooter, slower and more strategy with vehicles), Tony Hawk series (skateboarding, duh), SSX series (snowboarding). And most of the longer games I already listed have multiplayer features for quick short fun, Gears of War Horde mode on co-op is pretty fun with friends.
Sports games I don't really do, the last one I got was NCAA Football 2003 with Sproles and Roberson. I hear all the Maddens and NBA ones are reall popular.
