I haven't bought it yet. I focused on finishing up Darksiders 2, which just felt like a chore. It has upset me a bit and I needed to take a few days off. Video games are supposed to be fun and it wasn't.

I know the series has been discussed at length in this thread, so I apologize, but I have a Mass Effect question. Can I start with 2 and still have a good experience or do I need to play the first?

You should start with the first game. Pretend it ends after the second one though. ME1 and ME3 are good games but ME3 is really shitty and the trilogy has a horrible ending.

Downloaded Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD demo on the XBOX arcade the other day. Demo looks solid, thinking about getting the full game. Anyone have any thoughts?

i've got it. i really liked the series so for me it's a lot of fun. bad news is they didn't port over the entire soundtrack b/c of copy write issues or something but a lot of the songs are still there.

The box is ugly but the software looks amazing. Pretty much the only thing the PS4 presentation showed was games.

That's not entirely clear. That was mentioned in regards to giving someone else the game you already own but they have also said you will be able to sell back your games.

Update: Xbox support on Twitter has confirmed that there would be “no fee” associated with used games. Apparently there was a previous miscommunication with Wired:
