It does make a huge difference on hearing footsteps and reloads.  I mean I am probably a two kills and two deaths better per game (30 rounds).

I just finished Max Payne 3 and that game is damn good! I hadn't played any of the other Max Paynes and it didn't matter. This game tells a great story and is fun as hell.
