I played Black Ops over thanksgiving with my brother in law. I seriously couldn't kill someone until like my third hour of playing.

Same. Except I killed myself a ton of times.

Oh yeah, once I got good I'd have like 17 deaths and 2 kills. I'd try to aim and just shoot all over the rough ridin' place but never the guy I was shooting at. It was pretty funny.

Were you playing Hardcore (where a single shot can kill) or regular (where you have to shoot them loads of times to kill them)?

I prefer hardcore for two reasons, first it's called "hardcore" and I am a badass so that makes sense, and second it's actually easier to kill people.

So I got AC III today, and so far it seems they've improved the gameplay, and I hope they didn't include the Mediterranean Defense type mini-game, that was just annoying and out of place.

Can't confirm since I just got it, but the story of this series has been one of the oddest ones I've come across, so that doesn't surprise me.

It's impossible to aim. My Halo experience from like 7 years ago was pretty much worthless. I thought it would be similar, but it's not.

Loving Dishonored right now...did not like ACIII as much as the others. The environment was boring to me and it's the same old boring counter, hit, counter, hit sort of fighting scheme. Really too easy to wins fights. I thought I would like it better. That's probably why I was disappointed. I actually thought it was amazing like the first couple hours I played it...but then it got boring real fast when I got to America.

I do recommend Max Payne 3, though. Pretty challenging gameplay (on hard and above) and good story line.

I know it was discussed several pages back, but my 10 yr old wants an X-Box 360. Which one should I get, or is there something new that is better than an X-Box 360? Am I an idiot if I get him this at age 10?

I would just get him the cheapest model. There is going to be a new Xbox that comes out pretty soon, and he is going to want that one when it's out.

yep. i enjoy having other maps. seemed like the same ones always got played.

It's weird. Each play list has only a handful of maps to go a long with it. You have to change up playlists to play all the maps.

Just bought a ton of old games that were on sale (on top of already being pretty cheap) at GOG.com. Great website for buying nostalgic PC games. I'm going to spend the next several hours playing Roller Coaster Tycoon

Agree with this. Especially if you're a "spray and pray" type player. Regular mode always seems like you unload an entire clip into a guy and then he kills you. Hardcore you either kill him,or he just kills you faster.
