I would say that battle toads is harder than contra. Impossible to beat without a brand new controller.

Purchased preowned Dark Souls II yesterday and returned it within an hour. Graphics and gameplay reminded me too much of Oblivion. Which I disliked. Got Black Flag instead. Also preordered Destiny!

Played the Destiny Beta this past weekend on Xbone. Seemed fun enough. It was like call of duty meets Halo and World of Warcraft. Graphics looked really good and it was very smooth. I am usually terrible at first person shooters, but this one is up my ally. The whole player vs. player has never been that fun to me, but I could see enjoying the game when it comes out in September (I believe).

I am really excited about Destiny, looks awesome on trailers. Anything that is similar to halo I usually play.
