I watch French and have for many years, when I am serving like crap I'll still mention Michael Chang's underhand serve, just not my favorite. I've also played on clay and don't love playing on it either.

spent an entire summer running a program w/ 8 clay courts. one of the most fun playing summers i've ever had.

Where? I spent 13 years of my life doing the same. I know of at least 2 other northeast camping elites on this board.

Chautauqua, NY. Lucked into a decent summer gig when Lady Asava was doing an internship there. Sir Roger Goodell had a summer home there.

sounds like a neat spot. my sister worked at a clay-only place just north of nyc. my cousin is currently teaching summer camps at pepperdine.

Guys how about CiCi Bellis :excited: Also shame on the USTA for this gratuitous Williams/Townsend matchup the first night.

The match was ridiculous, she should have lost in straight sets with a billion errors, she attempted winners nearly every time she swung her racquet but never missed. I'm sure they'll put her on the grandstand or Billie Jean King on Wednesday and she's going to get trashed. She will be playing a low ranked player though.

That Bellis match was exactly how I thought it would go. I was happy to see that she still attempted to hit a million winners but when you do that you are apt to wild swings just like what happened there.

That's awesome for her, she'll love it. I wish I could go every year.

Gael  :frown:

Really fun group of players for the semis though. I saw Cilic play Raonic at the open 2 years ago and have liked him since
