Post-game Interview
« on: January 11, 2012, 12:08:28 AM »
...with Stan was a bright spot on the night. Frank gets pissed and walks off, camera slowly pans left to Willie and his fixed smug grin.

Tucks are probably all pissy over that one.

However, his words express exactly how we all felt. So it's fine by me. Too bad Stan had to face Frank....I felt bad for Stan.

I've done some sideline reporting and it can be scary  :ohno: if the home team is getting there collective asses handed to them. My second game covering Garden City Community College football when I approached coach at half and they were getting blasted he said: "Do you think I wanna talk to your right now fanning? Get the hell out of my way". And then the radio station cut to commercial.

"Do you think I wanna talk to your right now fanning? Get the hell out of my way".

I'm certain you get that a lot aside from beaten-down JUCO football coaches.

Stan has no soul and is just programmed to do his job.  Whoever was supposed to get Snyder after half vs EKU would've known to stay the hell away from Frank.

One of my favorite memories is the post game interview of the Big 12 conference home opener during Huggs' season. Wyatt had that interview and I remember clearly how pissed Huggs was at Blake Young because he didn't know who Jarious Jackson was when he told to guard "number 16" (or whatever number JJ wore).

"We give each player a CD of the tendencies of each player they may guard. To be on THIS bench and NOT know who you're supposed to guard, that just shows you're not prepared to give what it takes to be a WINNER"! )paraphrasing.

And he wasn't done.

Wyatt: Well the team seemed to have tired legs coach after that weekend  game with the short turnaround and perhaps....

Stat sheet crinkles through the radio in Huggs sweaty hands.... "Really? Really Wyatt? (Huggs then crinkles the sheets again and begins rattling off the names of player on KSU's squad and the minutes they played.
Martin: 21 minutes. Clint: 26 minutes... etc etc. Nobody over 27 minutes

Then he names off the the players and minutes of TTU. (No starter under 35 minutes)

Jackson: 39. Smith; 37. Voskuill 35...

"That's just a terrible excuse Wyatt. Terrible" (Stat sheet crinkling in hand)
Wyatt: Well uh coach.. uh... thanks a lot for being our gue.... (Huggs has already left) guest on the post game show, coach".

[/quoteYeah that was a blood bath. I don't think he named Young specifically but it was obviously who he was reffering to.

Credit to clams.  Was surprised to see he hadn't posted it here yet.  Captures the moment nicely.

My favorite Frank kind of blow up was after the loss to Wisconsin in the tourney last year. "Is this what you wanted to do!? See him cry!?"

Couldn't find the video on it.

Love it. Frank speak is so much less boring than regular coach speak.
