We really need a taller guard that can drive

seems like the biggest missing piece to me.   Too often our guards can barely get their shots up in the lane in the halfcourt.   maybe magruder (6'4") or russell (6'4") can become this.  or maybe down the line we develop someone at the "3" who can penetrate without turning it over half the time (n. williams or southwell?).

this really has became apparent with what i've seen us end up with when we needed a basket in certain games.

yes.  was hoping defenders would maybe step up more on him so he could drive but just haven't seen it.  apparently they weren't fooled either by that nebraska game.
