I love Frank
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:59:58 PM »
But i don't give a eff if Nino Williams has been the second coming of Michael Jordan this week in practice, it's not fair to him or the team to put him into this game, in this environment, after rarely getting off the pine the enitre year.  What did he expect from this kid?  Absolutely ridiculous.

He's outplayed Thomas Gipson, and the entire bench.  You're way off.

Nino was the lone bright spot of the first half.

The fact that he actually rebounded probably earned him minutes in the second half.
And team angel or team blow by took a big black eye. He'll be back, but my god.

Every big play KU had on offense was a direct result of Nino having no clue what the eff he was doing.

It isn't. He did the best job of anyone on Robinson in the first half. By far.

In the 1st half when KU was playing like tards and stopped giving him the ball for some reason. It's not like Nino was denying him. It's not hard to play defense when the guy you're guarding never touches the ball.

The 2nd half? Please.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Nino even had a steal hen they tried to get it to Robinson.

One of our players shot >= 50% (Irving, 3-5).  KU had 48 rebounds to our 24.  If you're blaming one player, you're probably not thinking clearly.

Tyrel Releford had 16 and 11 on us, guys.  OMFG>

I really don't care about any of the things mentioned above....what I am saying is that it is absolutely ridiculous to put a freshman who hasn't seen any significant minutes the entire year into this environment and expect him to succeed.  I have no problem with Nino as a player....it would have been nice if he had gotten some playing time during some games this season before turning him loose on one of the best players in the country in Allen field house.  I just don't think that's fair to him or the team.

This guarantees that Nino won't see the court in the next 5 games.

Outside of the zone call, not much you can put on Frank tonight.  You can't go cold early and expect it to always work out like it did against Alabama.  Poor shots and lazy rebounding in the first 7 minutes lost this one.

this was the most frustrating game I have watched in a while.  That one possession in the second when we got 3 consecutive shots (on a couple of wierd quick tunrovers) where we couldn't convert were maddening.  When JO couldn't make an uncontested dunk I literally lost it.

Asinine.  Poor preparation is on the coaches.

Whatever you do don't look at the stat line for rebounds, you will most assuredly meltdown.

Too late.  2  hawks outrebounded our entire team. Some of that is due to our poor shooting but crap.
