43 after a FOUR year battle with colon cancer. My grandfather died in his 40s from colon cancer and my PCP says I (age 40) still don't need a colonoscopy until I'm 50. I'm going to just pay for one out of pocket this year.

Same. I read my coverage manual and there's no age minimum for a colonoscopy. They will cover it if my doctor orders it, in be calling Monday morning.

So I’m at least a little bit online and I had no idea he had cancer... was this well known and I missed it, or did he keep it under wraps?
:adios:

He didn't publicly disclose it

Not to be preachy, but it's incredibly difficult to convey how important cancer screenings are. Literally potentially life saving. I'm not saying this because I read about it. I'm very close with someone who was unlucky.

I do an annual physical/blood panel/flu shot but that’s it. Should I ask/demand more? I’m very much in the dark on what I can/should do in re. to medical care.

ya get your skin checked annually and your colon checked.  the colon one is weird but not as bad as it sounds

Your Dr. can do a PSA blood test and check for colon cancer.  We had those done at work with our annual health and wellness check up.  Good luck.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Clams, the skin check up was a big deal and we had a Dermatologist at our Health & Wellness checkup.  I had a boss that was in his late 60's with skin cancer, and it was nasty.  He died within a year, and it was painful.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Uncle Cliffy died this morning, I loved that dude. He inspired a lot of ballers my age including Darius Miles. Struts N Cutters know I ball with a headband on and that's because of Cliff.

Cliff was always cool style-wise, and ahead of his time in play style. He’d have been a big star in today’s game.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Amazing actor. Didn't realize until today the appreciation he showed for the Negroes League Baseball Museum in KC. Not surprising, given he played Jackie Robinson, but still appreciated.

You can send in a stool sample to screen for colon cancer as well.  I do the full “life insurance” level blood test every year & full body skin check every 2 years.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Grant Hill tribute to John Thompson

And here’s a fun video of Hill showing how “soft” he was to Thompson pupil Alonzo Mourning (w/  clowning of Thunder Dan as well!).
