Seems like we've heard this story before, a few times, actually. And yet, there's always an excuse for why we need to borrow more. The media will continue to carry water for the administration and downplay the debt fiasco, and most people just don't care.

Look, let me be clear, our debt is only at 100% of GDP, and Greece is at 150%. We have a lot more room for wasteful spending. Also, Greece is making headway with a new budget of which only 2/3 is used to service that debt. I think we can use this as a successful model.

It's an unbelievable testament to the overall intelligence and pragmatism of this country that virtually no one cares about this.  More people are pissed off at the Tea Party Conservatives for trying to curtail this excessive spending than actually taking issue with the people driving the country off the cliff.
