Of course he committed knowing 3 visits were taking place. Smart move.

Concerning the lack of ranking- he still has a senior year left to play and make noise. I think it would be different if he committed towards the end of the year without making waves, but based on film it appears like he is truly under the radar. Just give it some time.

So, with recruits set to visit this weekend and our two available scholarship slots spoken for, how does the final scholarship spot pan out?

Get good players to commit, sort out the nonsense later. Attrition happens every year at almost every school. One of our guards will probably transfer after this year, and scottwildcat keeps saying that Jack K will get Bruced. It will work itself out.

Wow!!! So many to choose from and not enough scholarships.  We have 2 slots with Gip and Nino in their 4th year.  I like that we are looking at players with an edge.  We don't need a bunch a happy squirrel types.

Okay cool. Just to be clear, could we sign a commitment for say Jack's scholarship spot before Jack actually leaves, or would said player have to GTFO and relinquish their scholarship before any signing could actually occur? I'm not used to the idea of oversigning but I know it does happen, I don't really understand the "legality" of it

The talent that oscar has committing and showing legitimate interest in the program is unreal.

Considering our current roster and his recruiting, it looks like Weber's gonna do some great stuff here if we can keep this staff together.

In a few years, Weber might be able to change his name to oscar Banner.

I doubt Cobb makes it at this point. Aren't we a damn near lock for Claws? If Roach commits, which I'm not saying is all that likely, but we're going to make room for him.

Brown and Roach in a couple years would be sssssooooo dreamy.

Really wish we knew what was up will Cobb. I have the felling we going to over sign. We could see some Bruceing this year. For instance Loose Jack, Tre, Nino and Gip then take on Brown, Roach, Wade and Hales-Williams. I think that makes us better.   :dunno:

We had to push The Flush for a commitment and it doesn't make sense to do it before Roach's visit unless we want to take both. I think is a great commit and always thought of him as the guy the staff couldn't lose. But Roach has such elite athleticism and is still a very skilled player.

I really hope we don't get rid of Tre for Hales-Williams. At least Tre will be able to come in in situations where we're down 6-8 late and just jack up 3's. I don't think Hales-Williams has anything to offer.

We need to take a center in this class. In two years we are going to be left with Bolden, Malek and Westicles in the front court plus whoever we recruit. I think it is going to be very hard for us to land productive freshmen big men.

I'd rather go all in on a couple HS centers now, or a JUCO guy, than take Hales-Williams.

Jack is as good as gone and may not even be on the roster come game 1

I'd say partially that along with oscar having a really good staff.

Not sure what the hell to think of Cobb at this point. Hopefully we boot him from his commitment and replace him with Wade. Then get Roach or Shamet and this class will be a great one.

The same person who saw Cobb play this summer who said he's "good", saw Cobb in a subsequent week (his kid plays travel ball) and he told me, "he's really good."   He's not a big talker.
