I've been on forums where even the opcat  is not allowed the way it is here.  Now I know its sarcasm here, so it doesn't need to be moderated.  In the same token this is a good example of striking the right balance between censorship and free speech.

I have no idea where you are going with this. 
The point stands, other forums have modded racism more severely than here.  It is modded here to some degree.  Why not mod people being asshats with similar soft, supple, yet firm hand.
